Our Keiki Programs
We’re excited to announce our newly formatted keiki programs!
Each program highlights a specific dance style, skill focus, or developmental stage. Within each program, you’ll find a suggested progression pathway based on your keiki’s interests and goals.
This updated structure helps dancers build confidence, strengthen technique, create meaningful friendships, and continue progressing in a fun, encouraging environment — all while making enrollment and class placement easier for families to navigate.

We are incredibly blessed to have Kumu Kehau leading our Polynesian Program at KDC.
This will be the first KDC program to begin transitioning from primarily age-based enrollment to skill-based progression.
Beginning Fall 2026, all hula classes will move to skill-based placement requirements. New-to-hula students will begin in Intro to Hula, while students who have completed at least one enrollment period with Kumu Kehau may progress into Beginner Plus Hula.
Our Polynesian Dance class introduces students to the foundations and basics of dances from across Polynesia, including Hawai‘i, Tahiti, Aotearoa, and more.
All classes within this program will also incorporate a meaningful “Dance Sister” mentorship component inspired by traditional hālau practices, encouraging leadership, connection, and support between older and younger dancers.
-
Our Little Stars Program is specially designed for our youngest dancers, ages walking–5 years old, and focuses on building confidence, creativity, and foundational life skills through movement and play.
Classes emphasize creative movement, musicality, body awareness, coordination, and imaginative exploration while also helping keiki develop important classroom skills like following directions, taking turns, engaging with classmates, and participating independently.
Through fun themes, music, props, and movement-based activities, dancers are introduced to the joy of dance in a nurturing, age-appropriate environment designed to help every child shine.
-
Our Rising Stars Program is designed for dancers ages 5+ who are ready to expand their skills, explore new styles, and grow in a more structured dance environment.
This program introduces students to a wide variety of dance genres through our many combo-style classes, encouraging dancers to discover the styles they love most while continuing to strengthen their overall technique and foundations.
With a curriculum focused on skill development, musicality, coordination, flexibility, performance quality, and classroom discipline, dancers begin building the strong technical base needed for continued growth in their dance journey.
This is where dancers truly begin to shine — gaining confidence, developing artistry, building friendships, and discovering their unique love for dance along the way.
-
Our newest program, Acro Dance, is the perfect blend of gymnastics and dance — combining strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination with the creativity and expressiveness of movement.
Students will focus heavily on foundational acro skills such as conditioning, flexibility, control, and safe technique while also learning how to seamlessly incorporate those skills into choreography and performance.
This exciting program helps dancers build confidence, athleticism, body awareness, and artistry all at the same time.

2026-2027 New Enrollment Program
Introducing Our New Year-Long Enrollment Program
We’re excited to launch a new year-long enrollment structure designed to give students more time to grow, refine their technique, and shine on stage—while making enrollment simpler and more affordable for families.
One Cohesive Year of Growth
Students now stay enrolled for the full season, allowing for:
More consistent skill development and progression
Increased time to refine technique and performance quality
Deeper focus on choreography and artistry rather than frequent resets between semesters
A Bigger, More Meaningful Performance Experience
Instead of multiple smaller recitals, students will work toward one major end-of-year show in May, creating a more polished and impactful production.
This format allows for:
More detailed and dynamic choreography
Stronger storytelling and staging
Increased opportunities for featured and standout roles for dedicated students
Clear progression toward our future in-house company-level performance group, launching ‘27.
Potential to be invited to perform at outside events.
Semester Based Options:
There will still be some semester based class option: specifically for the studio’s youngest dancers. While there will not be a major performance in December, semester based classes still get to enjoy:
In-class showcase events in December
Parent participation weeks
Studio-based informal performance opportunities
These smaller events help build confidence in a supportive, low-pressure environment; perfect for the newer or younger students.
Simpler for Families
We’ve designed this structure with parents in mind:
Easier, streamlined enrollment (no mid-year re-registration)
Fewer administrative steps throughout the year
More predictable scheduling and planning
Only 1 set of costume and performance fees
Fewer Band App groups to join,
No dealing with re-enrollment at the same time as December show, school break, holiday break. Stress Free roll-over.
Better Value
Year-long enrollment also offers:
Reduced tuition compared to semester-based enrollment
More total training time per dollar
Increased value through consistent instruction and fewer break gaps
